Franklin William Sourbeck was born on September 25, 1869, at Sharpsville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of William Henry Harrison (Harry) Sourbeck and Reeves (have not identified her first name). On December 17, 1890, he married Laura May Moyer in Stark County, Ohio. She was the daughter of James Moyer and Emma Jane Fleisher, born on February 25, 1874, at Alliance, Stark County, Ohio. Frank died on November 21, 1917, ay Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio, and May died on April 4, 1961 at Alliance. Laura went by her middle name May. According to the 1900 US Census, Frank was residing at 210 Wayne street, with his wife and with three children. His occupation: telegraph operator. They are listed in the 1910 US Census; Frank’s occupation: telegraph operator for the railroad. All four of their children are listed. The address was 211 Wayne street (same house as in 1900). May is listed in this census as being born in Scotland/England, which is incorrect.
When I met Pearl and Margaret in 1965, they told me the letter “S” in their name, stood for nothing. Pearl her name was actually Perlete.
